The Weekly Menu

Now, I don't know if you can tell from the pictures of myself I sporadically post here, but I am a massive food lover. And by food, I don't mean greasy and disgusting McDonald's meals, or ketchup used as a tomato sauce for your pasta. No way. I am an Italian thoroughbred so I not only eat Food (capital F is compulsory in this case), but I also breathe it, swear by it and live for it. A meticulously thought-out, well-prepared and nicely-served meal is my ultimate comfort blanket. If you also consider that I've spent all my childhood in the back of a restaurant's kitchen you can probably understand why my love for real food is so immense. Now that I live on my own, and with a very limited budget, cooking every single elaborate recipe that pops into my mind is becoming pretty idealistic. But I often do my best to satisfy my cravings, using what my fridge and cupboard have to offer. What you will see in the following photos are some of the meals I cooked, and obviously consumed during this week. Some of them are a bit more thought-out, some others are really basic, but they all respond to my three kitchen's cornerstones: genuine, fresh, good. Please do let me know in the comments below if you would like to have the full recipe for any of these and if you would like to see more of this series in the future! Hope you enjoy it :) Bisous xx

1- Creamy courgette sauce and speck pasta with feta cheese
2- French toasts with banana, strawberries and nutella
3- Creamy chickpeas on a delicate carrot mash
4- Black beans and roasted sweet potato chunks
5- Brown rice with spinach and fresh salmon
